The Salvation Army depends on its familiar Christmas Kettle campaign to raise a substantial portion of its annual operating budget. These vital donations stay in Kingston to support the community in many ways by providing services for the homeless or those in need; helping individuals find permanent housing and offering a variety of programs for the community as well as providing critical services over the wintertime. In our current economic climate, these needs are only increasing. That’s why it’s necessary for us to fill as many kettle shifts as possible.
Adopt-a-Kettle
By participating in the Adopt-a-Kettle program your group can help ensure a successful fundraising season in order for The Salvation Army to continue its essential work. Your group, company or organization can “adopt” a Red Kettle for a day and staff it with volunteers for two-hour shifts. You can also choose to staff several kettles (maybe in same area) on a given day for a specific period of time. The program is flexible so we can find an option that best meets your needs.
